A Photograph

A photograph is simply manipulating light in seconds. It captures life, moments of joy and pain, memories that are irreplaceable, moments that you'll never forget.  Photographs display bad haircuts and ashy elbows, as well as short prom dates and bad make up.  I have a 7th grade school picture up in my moms house which is a daily reminder of me sneaking and wearing makeup to school, needless to say I look a little like a hooker.  Then there is a picture of my brother with his buck teeth and flat top fade(oh how I miss the 90's).  I love how for my mom these aren't reminders of our awkward stages, but precious memories of her babies lives. Senior pictures, family photos, newborn baby pictures, and wedding albums, just think these are the things that you see in a persons house, this are the things that you creep on a persons Facebook.  Point is that time continues, kids grow up, awkwardness fades away, but a photo will capture that moment forever
