Photography

Photography has always been something that I enjoyed but never though that I could be good enough to do.   I took some classes in high school and needless to say I sucked.  Mainly because I really just sucked at school all together in high school.  As I have got older I have spent countless hours checking out other photographers websites, reading their blogs, and I have to say the direction that the photography field is going is pretty awesome. Photographers like Jasmine StarMelissa Jill, and Holli True have been such an inspiration, they are all women who photography blogs have become a part of my daily life.  They all are so honest and real in their posts.  I feel like they totally want to really help develop young photographers like myself.
So, how this all really came to head is I took pictures over Thanksgiving of my niece and nephew and they came out pretty good.  See I have always seen life in snapshots, I know it sounds crazy and a little weird but I truly have.  When I drive through the country I am always stopping and seeing different pictures that I can do in my head, but never really thinking much more about actually putting into action.  One of my favorite things is driving to old towns and discovering different places to shoot.  I have been doing this for years and I just now got a camera.  I know, I know its kind of weird but thats just me.  Well when Thanksgiving arrived and I was thinking what I wanted to give  my family for Christmas and the idea arose to have some professional pictures taken and make some really awesome albums of the kids. See my niece and nephew are my moms only grandkids and we cherish those little boogers like nobody business.  But in order to get really good pictures, it was going to set me back a pretty penny, and I am just a college student.  So needless to say that wasn't happening, I decided to take them myself.  I borrowed a camera read some online tutorials on how to work the camera, bribed them and spent an afternoon taking their pictures.
Since then I have taken a couple of classes at Baker Photo & Video, as well as a couple of different online courses.  I have spent all of my free time taking picture and learning about ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.  I  made the decision to give myself 6  months to really develop my skills, and really give this photography thing a shot.  If I fail or I really suck at least I can say I tried it.
Aight, good night.
